About the Courses

What You Will Learn

Learn to function as a team member in home and special care, through a combination of hands-on classroom learning and practicums that provide clinical experience in home and long-term care settings.

This program focuses on working with the elderly, but you’ll be prepared to work with clients of all ages.

Career Opportunities

Continuing care assistants may work in home care settings, long-term care facilities, private care homes, acute care facilities, integrated facilities, supportive housing or special needs classrooms. Most continuing care assistants work for the Saskatchewan Health Authority, as part of a health care team under the supervision of registered nurses, registered psychiatric nurses and-or licensed practical nurses.
