About the Courses
The Animation industry is growing within Canada and there is a demand for Animation professionals. This two-year credential is designed to prepare graduates for animation opportunities in the fields of TV, film, game, and online production. As a student, this program provides you with the opportunity to bring life to characters and stories. Using your creative talents with drawing, animation and production techniques, along with strong storytelling skills, you will create a variety of 2D and 3D animations. A critical component of this program is the production pipeline and the ability to take an animation project from concept to completion. You will work in project-based learning environments and will create work to contribute to your e-portfolio. A field placement in the last semester of the program gives you direct access to the animation industry.

Requirements
Applicants possessing degrees/diplomas from institutions where the language of instruction was not English will be required to provide test scores as evidence of their English language proficiency. Test scores, if required, would be a minimum of TOEFL iBT 80 (effective January 2024 with no skill less than 20; IELTS 6.0 with no bands less than 5.5; CAEL 70 with no sub-test band scores less than 60; PTE Academic 51; Conestoga English Language Test (CELT) Band 5; Cambridge Exams 170 with no individual score less than 165 or equivalent scores in other recognized standard tests of English. Duolingo English Test with a minimum score of 105.
We offer a language program for students whose English language skills are below the standard required for admission but all other admission criteria have been met. An applicant will be eligible for admission to the program after completion of level 4 of the General Arts and Science - English Language Studies (ELS) program with an overall grade average of 70%. Placement in the ELS program is determined by scores on an in-house English language test or TOEFL or IELTS.
